Lobi Stars will this weekend Sunday June 12, 2022 in the MatchDay 33 play host to fellow strugglers Heartland to extend their 4 match unbeaten run, the longest so far in the current season at the Aper Aku Stadium Makurdi.

Currently placed 17th position with 38 points from 31 and half games against Heartland’s 18th position with 37 points from 32 completed games on the NPFL live league table, Lobi Stars aimed at exiting the drop zone as Heartland comes in handy to be overran for the purpose.

Though Heartland has picked up for sometime now, but unfortunately their new found form as they continue their struggle out of the relegation waters have been restricted to their home games as seen in their last 6 games having won the 3 games at home and lost all 3 at away.

As such, Heartland stand no chance in Makurdi as the “shoe get size boys” are not leaving anything to chance which have seen them gone undefeated for four straight NPFL games.

Comparatively, both teams fared below average but the Makurdi based club looks better off both on the league table and other current performance indexes. Lobi Stars have scored an average of 0.87 and concede 1.19 goals per game while their counterparts averages 0.84 and conceded 1.38 per game.

On current form, The Mohammed BabaGanaru tutored boys won three, drawn two and lost one while the Naze Millionaires won 3 and lost 3. The last 6 head to head confrontations between the two clubs put them at par as each won 3 and lost 3.

The Dominic Iorfa led Lobi Stars have engaged the Owerri based club on an all time twenty four occasions and won 9, leaving the visitors with 10 and 5 draws in between.

Looking at the zeal in the camp, the upped ante of the boys, Lobi Stars will simply be going for the kill to make a final exit from the murky waters of relegation.

The Vice Chairman/CEO Dominic Iorfa’s free gate largesse is still ongoing, as he encourage all the teeming fans of the club to come out enmass to cheer the boys to another victory and celebrate the redline exit.
