The Gateway Games 2024 National Sports Festival has secured a major boost with the unveiling of Premium Trust Bank as its lead sponsor. This partnership represents the largest single sponsorship agreement in the history of the National Sports Festival.
At a grand unveiling ceremony in Abeokuta, dignitaries from Ogun State Government, the National Sports Festival Organizing Committee, and Premium Trust Bank gathered to formalize the agreement.
The partnership underscores the importance of public-private collaboration in advancing sports development in Nigeria, aligning with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s vision for a sustainable sports economy.
Premium Trust Bank’s involvement is expected to elevate the Ogun 2024 National Sports Festival, setting a new benchmark for corporate involvement in Nigerian sports.
The bank has a track record of supporting sports development in Nigeria, having partnered with the Athletic Federation of Nigeria, sponsored the 2022 National Sports Festival in Delta State, and supported Nigerian athletes, including world record holder Tobi Amusan.
The Gateway Games 2024 National Sports Festival is expected to feature around 12,000 to 15,000 athletes competing in various sports. With Premium Trust Bank’s support, the festival is poised to be one of the most successful editions in recent history.
