As hostilities resume in the NWFL after the holiday break, Nasarawa Amazons FC will be trading tackles with Confluence Queens in their first game of the year today, Wednesday 4th of January 2023, at the Aper Aku Stadium, Makurdi, Benue state.
The week five fixture of the Nigeria Women Football League, NWFL, is scheduled to kickoff at 4pm as the Lafia based ladies eye another clean sheet targeting three points.
The Amazons who are second on the log are hoping to climb to number one on the league table with a win against the ladies of the Confluence.
Both sides are not strangers as they know each other very well, with Nasarawa Amazons defeating Confluence Queens in their last encounter in Lafia during the NWFL22 season.
Nasarawa Amazons who defeated Ibom Angels 4-0 in the last NWFL Match day 3 encounter in Makurdi, while confluence Queens drew in their last home match, will be hoping to be very stubborn in Makurdi and as result might prove difficult for the Lafia Landladies.
The ladies are physically and mentally ready to face the Lokoja ladies and eager for the three points.
Nasarawa Amazons will boost their chances to play in the super 6 with a win over the Confluences Queens.
