Amazons Football Club Technical Adviser, Coach Christopher Danjuma, has expressed confidence in his team’s ability to overcome Heartland Queens in their matchday 6 encounter scheduled for Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at the Lafia City Stadium.
The Nasarawa Amazons are returning to their home ground after a loss to Edo Queens in Benin on matchday 5. Coach Danjuma acknowledged the challenges posed by the encounter but emphasized his team’s readiness to face the test.
“We know Heartland Queens will come with the mentality of getting a result, especially after they drew at home, and we dropped three points in Benin too. However, we’re ready for them,” he stated.
Coach Danjuma cautioned his players to be wary of the visiting team, saying, “Heartland Queens may be struggling on the log, but that doesn’t mean they’re not a good side. In fact, teams at the bottom can be harder to play, so we’ll approach the game with the same intensity as if we were playing the champions.”
He also assured the fans of their support, saying, “Our home support will psychologically boost our players, and we are sure of the three points in tomorrow’s match. I believe the Nasarawa Amazons fans will give us maximum support tomorrow as always.”
The match promises to be an exciting and crucial encounter, with Nasarawa Amazons seeking stability and a super win, while Heartland Queens are desperate to get away points.
