The Naze Millionaires have reached a partnership agreement with the Premier League side with a view that both clubs mutually benefit from the deal
Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) side Heartland have reached an agreement with Watford for the Premier League club side to assist the Naze Millionaires with technical development.
“Heartland chairman Hon Chibuzor Goodfaith Etuemena visited Watford FC of England with a view of partnering with the English club,” Heartland said in a statement released to Goal.
“The chairman had positive deliberations with the president of Watford alongside the sporting director.
“The partnership with Watford will bring the English club to Owerri to see Heartland feeder team amongst other technical and capacity building workshops to assist the club.”
This marks the second partnership between an NPFL side and a Premier League club after Ifeanyi Ubah FC’s deal with West Ham was announced last week.
The visit to Watford is one of many foreign trips embarked upon by Etuemana in a bid to change the fortunes of the club. He was in Turkey last week where he held similar talks with Galatasaray.
