The player believes his side have improved in their recent games and is optimistic about their title chances
Rivers United winger Ovoke Bernard remains upbeat that his team will push to the end of the season and will not give up on the fight to be crowned Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) champions.
The Pride of Rivers narrowly 1-0 lost to Kano Pillars in their NPFL week 32 game on Sunday.
Stanely Eguma’s charges are still in the race for the title, with three points between them and leaders Wikki Tourists, who are on top of the table with 53 points.
“We are not giving up and we will fight till the end,” Ovoke told Goal.
“We have improved from the last five matches and against Kano Pillars, we played really well especially in the second half.
“Our defensive play has also vastly improved and I must commend my team mates for their show of determination.
“The dream of every player is to win trophies and mine isn’t an exception. I want to play my part to help the club achieve it objectives.
