The Authentic Nigeria Football and Allied Sports Supporters club, ANFASSC, today, Tuesday, October 5, 2021 defeated SWAN Selected 2-0 in a friendly encounter played at the Legacy pitch, National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.
ANFASSC, who were tutored by Vandrezzer FC Coach, Tony Bolus created several chances and were able to convert two.
Despite the hard work and resilience of SWAN Selected under the tutelage of Coach Yemi Olanrewaji, they could not get a consolation, but they will be proud of their performance all through.
National President of ANFASSC, Prince Abayomi Ogunjimi who was obviously delighted with the outcome of the game noted that everything put together was worth it at the end.
He said “Firstly, I appreciate SWAN Selected, we had different challenges and we disagreed to eventually agree, but the beautiful thing is that we were able to make it happen”
“It’s a delight to work with the men of the pen profession, we are happy that our funds, resources and commitment were appreciated and we are already looking forward to doing more with them”
Prince Ogunjimi congratulated the Authentic boys for putting up a good show against a well drilled and tutored SWAN Selected side, he gave kudos to everyone who worked behind the scene for the supporters club in ensuring that everything went smoothly.
At the end of the game, the eventual champions, Authentic Nigeria Football and Allied Sports Supporters Club went home with a three hundred thousand naira cash prize as well as the giant trophy.
SWAN Selected were handed a cheque of two hundred thousand naira despite losing the game.
There were also individual awards to outstanding players which was powered by the first Vice President of the Nigeria Football Federation, Barrister Seyi Akinwunmi.
