Nigeria’s Arsenal striker Alex Iwobi netted a brace as the Super Eagles thrash Plateau United 3-0 in a friendly match played on Wednesday, October 5.
The game was organised for Gernot Rohr , the national team’s Technical Adviser, to assess the fitness of the players ahead of the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier at Zambia on Sunday, October 9.
Following a slow start to the match, as the game wore on the Super Eagles opened scoring through Anderson Esiti, after a fantastic build up play from midfield.
Alex Iwobi who is presently in-form with a great start so far to the season, scored Super Eagles second goal at the resumption of play from a swift counter attack.
Completing his brace with a ferocious shot to hand the Super Eagles a 3-0 win.
