Lagos Raptors Basketball Academy has won the NBBF TotalEnergies Atlantic Conference Division 2 League finals concluded on Friday in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
Raptors defeated High Flyers of Benin City in the final to capture the top prize and secure their ticket to the NBBF TotalEnergies National Division 1 League.
Raptors won the final game 75 to 63 points to go through the Atlantic Conference Division 2 League finals unbeaten.
Favour Arena came third after beating Anambra Basketball Club 64 to 46 points while Federal Polytechnic Nekede were first from the bottom at the end of the finals.
At the end of the Savannah and Atlantic Conference finals in Abuja and Port Harcourt, Alice Gombwer Basketball Academy of Kaduna and Lagos Raptors Basketball Academy gain promotion into the NBBF TotalEnergies National Division 1 League.
It’s interesting to know that the journey of the two promoted club started from the State finals to the Zonal play offs before the Conference finals.
Alice Gombwer Basketball Academy finished among the top two from the North West Zonal Play-Off while Lagos Raptors Basketball Academy came second from the South West Play-Off in Osogbo.
