Lagos State has named Kayode Oyekanmi as the new General Manager of Lagos Television (LTV).
The appointment was formalized on Wednesday, 13th May 2026, when Head of Service Bode Agoro presented the appointment letter to Oyekanmi at a brief ceremony in his office at the State Secretariat, Alausa, Ikeja.
Oyekanmi succeeds Sola Kosoko, who recently disengaged from the role.
Before his appointment, Oyekanmi served as Director of the Strategy Centre at the Lagos State Ministry of Information and Strategy, a position he held since 2022. He is a seasoned brand communications professional with over 30 years of experience in advertising, public relations, and global export services across both the private and public sectors.
He began his public service career on 1st March 2000 as a Public Affairs Practitioner with the Ministry of Information and Strategy.
An indigene of Isale Eko, Lagos Island, Oyekanmi holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Lagos and a Bachelor’s degree in English Language and Education from Lagos State University. He is an active member of the Nigeria Union of Journalists and the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations.
Recognized for his contributions to journalism, he has received several awards over the years. He currently serves as Charter President of the Lagos State Ministry of Information Toastmasters Club and is known for his interests in reading and lawn tennis.
In his remarks, Agoro said he was confident in Oyekanmi’s capacity to reposition LTV and wished him a successful tenure.
