Abeokuta Stormers youngster Adekunle Samuel has hailed his teammates for a job well done despite their goalless draw(0-0) with heartland FC of Owerri in the ongoing Super 8 promotion Playoff in Asaba, Delta state.
Adekunle, who has featured in every game for Abeokuta Stormers since the beginning of the season, has been impressed by his teamates. The defender was the highest goal scorer for his team, in the 2021/2022 season with 7 goals in 16 appearance in 18 games.
While interacting with Faith Onwukwe about match day 1 against Heartland FC,
Adekunle said; “This is our first game no hope is lost, Heartland is a good side but its not the result we wanted. We are here to promote to the NPL next season that is our aim and target. The boys are motivated and our spirit are high but above all we thank God for injury free game”.
Abeokuta Stormers sports club will again take on Sporting Lagos FC in match day 2 NNL promotion Playoff in Asaba by 4pm Today.
