Nasarawa United picked her first victory in the ongoing Unity Cup, a preseason tournament in Abuja, putting 3 goals past their opponent.
The Solid Miners in their first game played out a 1-1 draw against Cynosure FC.
In the victory over Corrections Centre FC, Nasarawa United opened scoring in the 45th minute of the first half through Paul Funom.
The game wore on until the Tolu Oluwole netted the second goal of the match to extend the Solid Miners lead in the 58th minute.
The game was put beyond Corrections Centre FC in the 81st minute, when Tolu Oluwole made it a brace and a third for Nasarawa United.
Meanwhile, the Lafia based club maximising their free day, engaged in a friendly match against FC International at MKO Abiola National Stadium, Abuja.
The match played at the FIFA Goal Project, Package ‘B’ ended in a 2-2 draw. Though this does not in anyway reflect what was an action-packed and entertaining match.
