The Executive Chairman of Ejigbo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Monsurudeen Oloyede Bello, has taken a significant step towards bringing essential government services closer to the people. He led a delegation to the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) Lagos State Command, Ikoyi, to request the extension of immigration services to Ejigbo.
During the visit, the delegation met with CIS David Oluwole Adebambo, Comptroller of the Nigeria Immigration Service, Lagos State Command, to explore the possibility of establishing an operational presence in Ejigbo LCDA.
The Chairman emphasized the growing population of Ejigbo and the need for residents to access immigration services, such as passport processing and related documentation, without the inconvenience of long-distance travel.
Hon. Monsurudeen Oloyede Bello reiterated his administration’s commitment to enhancing ease of access to public services. He stated that decentralizing immigration services to Ejigbo would greatly benefit residents, improve service efficiency, and decongest the Ikoyi office.
Comptroller David Oluwole Adebambo acknowledged the request and commended the Chairman’s proactive efforts in advocating for improved service delivery. He assured the delegation that the request would be given due consideration in line with the strategic objectives of the Nigeria Immigration Service.
This move aligns with the Chairman’s broader agenda to bring governance closer to the people and ensure that Ejigbo LCDA continues to benefit from essential public services that enhance the quality of life for residents.
The delegation included the Vice Chairman of Ejigbo LCDA, Hon. Ayodele Ayodeji, Leader of the Legislative Arm, Hon. Lanre Akinbowale, Council Manager, Mr. Olusegun Ajagunna, and Human Resource Officer, Mrs. Fregene Gbemisola Oluwakemi.
