FUBS To Honour Late Dapo Sotuminu With Candlelight Procession

Family United by Sport (FUBS) will hold a candlelight procession in honour of the late Dapo Sotuminu, a veteran sports journalist who passed away on November 20, 2024.

The procession, scheduled for Friday, December 20, 2024, will commence at 6:30 pm in front of the Sir Molade Okoya Indoor Sports Hall, Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere, Lagos, and will terminate at the Media Centre, National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.

As a mark of respect, FUBS will provide exclusively branded T-shirts to the first 100 attendees.

Dapo Sotuminu was a dedicated member of FUBS who won the first FUBS man of the year award.
He covered women football religiously and served as the Director of Communications of the Nigerian Women Football League for 5 years during the administration of Ms Aisha Falode. He also played a vital role in the activities of the Sports Writers Association of Lagos.

The candlelight procession is a fitting tribute to the late Dapo Sotuminu, who dedicated his life to promoting sports in Nigeria. FUBS invites all sports enthusiasts and well-wishers to join in paying their respects to this sports icon.
