Lafia East All Stars FC today organized a reception in honour of Nasarawa State FA Chairman, Salisu Galadima (Basira) to celebrate his emergence as father of football in the state.
The special reception was preceded by a novelty match where Lafia East All Stars lost by 0-2 to First Lafia All Stars at the lafia City Stadium.
Speaking at the event, member representing Awe constituency Hudu A. Hudu emphasized the need for continued unity and collaboration among the footballing community in the state and described the FA Chairman as a God-sent in view of his instant impact since his assumption of office.
He attributed his success at the polls to his unique resolve to ensure that the welfare of the people remain Paramount in all his dealings.
State FA Chairman commended the Lafia East All Stars for the honour and their massive contribution to the development of football assuring that his leadership will remain committed to taking football to the next level.
He solicited for continued support and loyalty by leveraging on the various platforms that are available for practitioners in the game to explore and excellent.
Chairman of Lafia East All Stars Abdullahi Ubandoma expressed appreciation to the FA chairman and their counterparts for their sustained partnership and promised to redouble their efforts at improving the fortunes of football in the state.
Highlight of the event was presentation of balls and other souvenirs by the FA Chairman and commendation from the First Lafia All Stars chairman Uba Alhaji and assurances of improved collaboration.
