…Solicits More Support From Government
Ahead of the commencement of the 2022/2023 Nigeria National League, NNL season, captain of Ekiti United, Adewale Makanjuola said the team has the rightful players to secure promotion to the Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL.
Speaking to reporters in Ado-Ekiti, Makanjuola declared the readiness of his teammates to make the State proud adding that the new coaches have what it takes to make the dream a reality.
While calling on the sponsors of the team to intensify more efforts to motivate the players by rendering support in terms of subvention and welfare, he noted that such move will motivate them.
His words: “I’m happy with the state of things since we resumed last week Monday. We need more support in terms of the subvention coming to the club. We have the rightful players to get the team an NPFL spot but you know as players, we need more motivation to take us there. The government are trying but we are asking for more this coming season.
“We are ready to do the State proud come the new season. I have confident in the new set of coaches. We didn’t fair bad last season despite some little challenges but am sure this new season will be better.
“In terms of quality, we are not short but you know as players money motivates us more. All we ask for is the little support and I will be happy if the State government look into this aspect for us. We will surprise the government if they listen to our plea.” Makanjuola maintained.
