Ekiti Queens Confident Of Victory In Historic NWFL Opener

In what is a historic NWFL Opener between Ekiti Queens FC and the defending champions of the women league, Delta Queens FC, for the 2023/24 season, Coach Taiwo Moses says his team is ready and are going all out for victory.

According to the the gaffer of Ekiti Queens who are making their debut season at the top flight, in response to the challenge of playing against the NWFL Champions, Coach Taiwo Moses, says he has prepared his team and they are good to go.

“I have met them in preseason and have tried to fix one or two things. But meeting them now in the league we are good to go. Due to our preparation I have the confident that my players would get the better of them”.

Coach Moses says after playing against Delta Queens in preseason, he has no doubt that he has the quality to match the defending champions.

The Ekiti Queens coach says his message to fans and supporters of the team is:”They should expect nothing but a win with the preparation in place. This is our home and with the quality of players and preparation, I am confident we would give the fans and all stakeholders a very good game”

Speaking Akinola Fayokemi captain of Ekiti Queens, say the team is ready to prove they are contenders. That fans of the club should be optimistic.
The captain says:”They should be expecting us to win, because when we went for preseason we controversially lost. But now that we are back at home for the league opener, we would prove to all that we are contenders.

This is actually our first time playing in the premier league, we have prepared well and are expecting them to come and we will beat them”.

On making their debut NWFL premier league season Fayokemi says:”We are excited but we know playing in the premier league is not an easy task. We are prepared and ready for the rigours of the challenge it presents, but we are ready and prepared to conquer”.

 

 

 

Coach Moses concerning the morale of the team says, the FA and the State government have done enough to boost the morale of the players for the historic NWFL Opener.

He declared he is optimistic of victory when the two teams take to the pitch on Tuesday, 14th November, 2023 at 4PM at Oluyemi Kayode Stadium in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, on Match Day 1of the 2023/24 season of the NWFL.

The Ekiti Queens versus Delta Queens opener for the NWFL new season, makes history as the first match to be broadcast live on television, since the league’s inception in 1990.
