Rivers United’s players and officials will be tested for Covid-19 before taking on Al Masry in Sunday’s TotalEnergies CAF Confederations Cup additional playoff round 2nd leg fixture.

The Stanley Eguma tutored side face the Egyptian club, who are in dire need to overturn a 1-2 deficit in order to qualify to the group stage of the competition.

Before locking horns with the “Zaeem Al Qanāh” side, however, players and officials of the “Pride of Rivers” will be subjected to the assessment on Saturday morning (today).

Few hours after that, the team is expected to travel to Alexandria and will have their first training session by 17:00 (West African Time) at the Borg El Arab Stadium.

The second leg fixture takes place at the Borg El Arab Stadium Egypt on Sunday, December 5 with Rivers United holding a 2-1 advantage seeking to avoid defeat which will guarantee them a place in the group stage of the competition.
