The Times Journalism Alumni Association (TJAA) Class ’99 has emphasized the importance of unity among its members for the growth and development of their alma mater and society at large.
Speaking at the 2025 Thanksgiving Get-Together of TJAA Class ’99, held at the Ladi Lawal House in Lagos, Governor-General Ogbuefi Remmy Nweke commended members for their commitment to positioning the association as a major player in the journalism industry.
Nweke encouraged members to take advantage of online courses to enhance their skills and stay ahead in their careers. He noted that the essence of the gathering was to foster networking and collaboration among members for a better future.
The Deputy Governor of TJAA Class ’99, Mrs. Funmi Omoboriowo, applauded members for their support and camaraderie, urging them to continue being their “brothers’ and sisters’ keepers.”
Chairman of the occasion, Malam Ismail Aniemu, praised TJAA Class ’99 for keeping the flag of the association flying and wished everyone a blessed 2025.
The event featured remarks from special guest Lolo Nkem Nweke, who commended TJAA Class ’99 for remaining united and urged other classes to emulate their example.
Chairperson of the 2025 TJAA Class ’99 Thanksgiving Get-Together, Chief Mrs. Folashade Azeez, expressed gratitude to members for their commitment and love, and pledged to improve future events.
The gathering ended with members dancing and networking, reinforcing their bonds and commitment to the association’s growth.
