Nasarawa State Make Significant Input At Maiden NCS’ Meeting

The Nasarawa State delegation to the first National Council on Sports Meeting made a significant impact and left a lasting presence, contributing meaningfully to the discussions and decisions shaping the future of sports in Nigeria.

Comprising the Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Hon. Jafaru Ango; Permanent Secretary, Chief Barr. Isaac Danladi, and Director of Sports, Lawrence Shammah, the Nasarawa State’s delegation’s thoughtful insights, expertise, and passion for sports development resonated with fellow Council members, inspiring collaborative and innovative solutions.

Through their active participation, the delegation shared valuable perspectives, enriching the Council’s understanding of various sports-related issues, fostering strategic partnerships, paving the way for future collaboration and initiatives.

The delegation also advocated for inclusive and sustainable sports development, promoting equal opportunities and access for all stakeholders. They also showcased the State’s Ministry’s achievements, inspiring others to strive for excellence.

The State’s delegation’s impactful contributions and presence at the National Council on Sports will have a lasting influence, shaping the trajectory of sports in Nigeria and inspiring a new generation of athletes, coaches, and sports enthusiasts.

They thanked Governor Abdullahi Sule for approving their participation at the meeting, emphasizing that it would have a positive effect on the State’s sports and its stakeholders, going forward.

The three-day National Council on Sports Meeting which began from Monday, 20th to Wednesday, 22nd May, 2024, in Enugu, was organized by the Federal Ministry of Sports Development under the leadership of the Honourable Minister of Sports, Senator John Owan Enoh with the theme, “Sports For National Unity And Socio-Economic Growth.”
