Enner Valencia was chased off the pitch by policemen during Ecuador’s 3-0 win over Chile on Thursday, October 6 over child support.

Valencia is said to be owing £13,000 to the mother of his daughter in child maintenance bills.

Police visited the Ecuador national team training camp on Wednesday, October 5 to question the Everton forward.

The following day, the forward was chased after he was carried off by medics in the 82nd minute of Ecuador’s clash with Chile in the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier.

After the player complained of illness in the 82nd minute, the forward was carried off the pitch by a medical buggy while on oxygen.

Valencia was wheeled off the pitch on a medical buggy while receiving oxygen but was chased by at least 12 police.

In a video that has gone viral online, the policemen are seen running after Valencia as he is being wheeled away.

The 29-year-old, however, escaped arrested and was rushed to the hospital for treatment.
