The annual Green & White Nigeria Achievers Award was a thrill of an event, filled with excitement and accolades for attendees and nominees who won awards.
The awards in its 7th edition took place at the prestigious Best Western Starfire Hotel, GRA Ikeja, Lagos. And according to the convener of the award, Ambassador Juliet Geoffrey Porbeni, the award was created to reward the efforts of individuals and corporate bodies, contributing to the growth and development of society. Making life better for individuals and communities.
Several corporate organisations and reputable personalities were recognised and awarded for their varied contributions within the last year.
In her words Ambassador Juliet Geoffrey Porbeni expressed her gratitude to the organisations that have stood by the organisers over the years. “To our Special Sponsors, we are grateful for believing in us for over 7 years, these brand have been with us; Power Horse, Tommy Cranberry, Black Stallion, Tommy Waleson Lighting & Event. To the media, “we say a big thank you for your unflinching support, we couldn’t have done it all without you and our sponsors”.
The organisers also extended their appreciation to the new brands that joined in offering support for the 2023 edition of the event; Patrick Ogunjobi & Co(Estate Surveyors &Valuers) and De Partners 2Hotel Lagos.
Ambassador Porbeni congratulated the the award winners saying; “Congratulations on your incredible success and achievements. Your hard work and perseverance have paid off. A toast to your success”.
The award ceremony also witnessed the official crowning of the Miss Green & White Nigeria. Jennifer Aghedo-Onodiana Efua beat a host of other contestants to be crowned MGWN Peace Ambassador 2023/2024.
As well as the official unveiling of 2Side Media Africa. AmbJuliet Porbeni informed that the new media outfit is:” A magazine outfit and a media platform that is set out to tell the world about the other side of Nigeria and Africa. People tend to talk about the negative side of our country, what about the good side, who talks about it?”
