Defending Champions Kano Pillars and Safety Babes didn’t slip of the mark as they continued to get vital wins to keep their lead of the log on day 3 of the Prudent Energy Handball Premier League season 5 phase 2 ongoing at the University of Lagos Sports Center.
In the men category, Kano Pillars were in no mood for play as they swiftly defeated Benue Buffaloes 31-20 to still remain atop the male category table while Safety Shooters, who are pushing hard to overtake the defending champion, struggled to defeat a resilient Tojemarine Academy with 31-28 victory.

Owena Kings, knowing that they are candidate of relegation and needed to change their situation, stepped up the ante as they battled hard to get a 21-21 draw against Rima Strikers while Confluence Stars also played out a 19-19 draw against Niger United.
The last match on focus in the Men Category saw De Defender defeat Seasider Boys of Lagos 28-26.
In the female category, defending Safety Babes champion expertly clipped the winning streak of Seasider Babes as they defeated them with a comfortable 31-25 victory to stay top of the league table while Rima Queens defeated Benue Queens 21-18.
