The Handball Federation of Nigeria (HFN) has released the fixtures for the first phase of the Ardova Handball Premier League 2025, which is set to commence on July 7, 2025, in Benin City, Edo State.
The league will feature some of the country’s top handball teams, including defending champions Tojemarine Handball Club and Safety Babes.
In the female category, Safety Babes will begin their title defense against Ekiti Queens, a team that got promoted after finishing second in the National Division One League. The defending champions will be looking to set the pace for their campaign and make it a fifth unprecedented consecutive title. Other day 1 fixtures in the female category include Plateau Peacocks vs Rivers Queens and Rima Queens vs Delta Queens.
In the male category, Tojemarine Handball Club will take on newly promoted Osun United, signaling their intent to retain their title. Other day 1 fixtures include Rima Strikers vs COAS Shooters, Niger United vs Adamawa United, and Safety Shooters vs Seasider Boys of Lagos.
