To commemorate the International Day of the Girl Child, Hon Yemisi Alashe, a leading chairmanship aspirant for Ejigbo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), has reaffirmed her commitment to empowering girls and women in the community.

In a chat with www.backpagenaija.com, Hon Yemisi Alashe emphasized the importance of education, skill acquisition, and leadership opportunities for girls, stressing that “investing in girls is investing in our collective future.”

“The International Day of the Girl Child serves as a poignant reminder of the challenges girls face globally, including limited access to education, healthcare, and economic opportunities,” Hon Alashe said. “As a woman and a leader, I am dedicated to bridging these gaps and creating a brighter future for our girls.”

Hon Yemisi Alashe outlined her plans to:

1. Establish vocational training centers for girls
2. Provide scholarships and educational support
3. Promote healthcare initiatives targeting girls and women
4. Foster mentorship programs pairing girls with successful women leaders

“Ejigbo’s girls deserve every chance to succeed. As Chairman, I will prioritize their empowerment and well-being,” Hon Alashe assured.
