Death Of Barnabas Imienger: Nasarawa United Condoles With Lobi Stars

In strengthening the strong bond that exists between Nasarawa United FC and Lobi Stars FC, the Management of the Solid Miners as Nasarawa United FC are nicknamed, has sent a condolence message to the entire Management of the Makurdi-based outfit.

In the Club’s message of grief, Barr. Danladi expressed shock over the untimely demise of Barnabas Imienger, who until his death, was the Team Manager of Lobi Stars FC.

‘We received with rude shock the news of the demise of your Team Manager, Barnabas Imienger.

“Imienger was an iconic figure during his professional and international football playing days.

“He was a well cultured gentleman who won the hearts of many, including mine due to his humility and foresight.

“We had shared ideas and notes at different fora, and I must say he was a rare gem that radiated excellence and ingenuity.

“He contributed, in no small way, to the growth and development of the round leather game in all spheres.

“Today, one of his many contributions is made manifest in his son, Barnabas Imienger Jnr. who currently plies his professional football trade with our team, Nasarawa United.

“Nasarawa United Management members wish to commiserate with the entire membership of Lobi Stars, the good people of Benue State, and, of course, the entire football fraternity across the country and beyond, over this sad incident. We are equally with you during this tough period.

“As brothers and partners in progress, we rejoice when you rejoice and mourn when you mourn.

“We hope that you take solace in this inevitable situation, hinging on the basis that the Late Barnabas Imienger lived a life worthy of emulation, and set structures that will live the test of time.

“May God console and strengthen you all during this period and give you the heart to bear this huge loss.

“May his gentle soul rest in peace with the Lord. Amen!”, Danladi prayed.

Recall that the entire membership of Nasarawa United FC had, on Tuesday, paid a condolence visit to the immediate family of the late Lobi Stars’ Team Manager at his High Level private residence, in Makurdi.

The Late Barnabas Imienger died at the National Hospital, Abuja, in the early hours of Monday, 22nd March, 2021, after battling prolonged illness.
