President of the Super Eagles Supporters Club, Prince Vincent Okumagba says the 2022 African Cup of Nations in Cameroon is the next big thing for the club as preparations are in top gear to the Super Eagles get maximum support.

Prince Okumagba in an interaction with journalists at the opening ceremony of the Niger Delta Peace Cup in Ikot Ekpene, Akwa Ibom hinted that the club will leave no stone unturned to ensure the Super Eagles get the needed support to lift the coveted throphy in Cameroon as he thinks the team can replicate the 2013 success in South Africa.

“The nations cup is the next big thing for us.

As members of the Super Eagles Supporters Club, you know we have always been there anytime they are playing Nations Cup, infact the last time they won it in 2013, I was very instrumental leading the Supporters Club to be there, so this time around I’m thinking that we should be able to win this Nations Cup, we didn’t win the last edition and now an Interim coach is there so he has to deliver.

We will give our best as members of Super Eagles Supporters Club to be there in large number to drum and sing for the team to victory so I believe that everything put together we shall have a good outing in Cameroon”.

Meanwhile, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) recently appointed
Mr Augustine Eguavoen as the Technical Adviser of the Super Eagles on an interim basis and will lead the team to the African Cup of Nations in Cameroon.

The Nations Cup is billed to run from the 9th of January 2022 till 6th February 2022.
