Abubakar Aliyu Ibrahim is a pacy and energetic winger who plays for Nigeria Professional Football League side, Wikki Tourists FC of Bauchi.

A product of GBS of Bukuru, Plateau State, Abubakar, popularly known as “Abu Korea” has played for many local and foreign Clubs, among which are Nasarawa United FC(Nigeria), CA Bizertin(Tunisia), IK Start(Norway), Notodden FK(Norway), Ki Klaksvik(Faroe Islands), Hamarkameratene(Ham-Kam FC, Norway) Akwa United FC(Nigeria).

The 27-year-old is the pillar upon which Wikki Tourists rest on as his presence in the team has seen them make positive impact in the elite domestic Nigeria Football League, scoring six goals while assisting three, and doesn’t look to stop poaching in more goals to help his side make a strong statement before the end of the current campaign of the Nigeria Professional Football League.

Abubakar helped his former Club, Akwa United FC, to win the 2020/21 Nigeria Professional Football League title, their first ever League title.

A goal-getter and result-oriented team-player, he also helped his Norwegian Club, IK Start, to win the 2016/17 elite Norwegian League title.

On the International space, the experienced attacker played for Nigeria’s U-20 National Youth team, The Flying Eagles, in 2012 under Coach John Obuh, a performance that saw him promoted to play for the B team of the senior National Men’s team, CHAN Eagles, including scoring a wonder goal from 35 yards against Morocco to help Nigeria secure the 3rd-place play-off title at the 2014 CHAN Championship in South Africa.

Gifted with excellent dribbling skills, shooting accuracy, breathtaking ball control, electric speed, horse power energy, aggressive and high confidence on the ball, with great positioning, Abubakar fancies Portugal cum Manchester United player, Cristiano Ronaldo as his role model.

According to the Plateau State-born weapon of mass destruction, he would bring his wealth of experience into the National Team of Nigeria if handed an invitation.
