The Senator representing Benue South Senatorial District, Comrade Abba Moro, condemns in the stongest terms, the brutal murder of AIG Christopher Dega (Rtd).
Mr. Dega who, until his demise, was the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Samuel Ortom on Security, was shot dead in a restaurant at Bukuru in Jos, Plateau State capital, on Monday night.
In a statement signed by the SA New Media Emmanuel Eche-Ofun John, Senator Moro describes the killing as “babaric and very disturbing.”
He sympathizes with Governor Ortom and the entire Benue State Executive Council, praying God to grant the soul of the deceased eternal rest.
The Comrade-Senator decries the spate of killings and insecurity in the country and charges security operatives to go after the perpetrators of the henious crime and bring them to justice. He says the senior retired police officer must not die in vain.
