Abba Moro Calls For Release Of Abducted Owukpa Residents

The Senator representing Benue South Senatorial District, Comrade Abba Patrick Moro, strongly condemns the kidnap of six persons in Ugbugbu-Owukpa, Ogbadibo LGA.

Report had it that six persons, mostly youths, were ambushed and abducted by suspected herdsmen along Atamaka-Ugbugbu road.

The kidnappers had already contacted the victims’ families, demanding N500,000 each as ransom.

Senator Moro describes the abduction as very disheartening and most unfortunate.

He decries the rising cases of kidnapping in Benue South, saying that the practice is anathema to the senatorial district.

He appeals to the perpetrators of the act to turn a new leaf and stop further desecration of the land.

The Senator charges security agents to take steps to have the victims rescued as soon as possible so that they can reunite with their families.
