The Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) Nasarawa State Chapter has extended its heartfelt commendation to Nasarawa Amazons Football Club for their gallant performance in the final of the President Federation Cup.
Despite narrowly losing 2-4 on penalties to Rivers Angels FC after a 2-2 draw at regulation time, the team displayed courage, discipline, and determination throughout the competition.
According to Smah George, Chairman of SWAN Nasarawa State Chapter, the team’s journey to the final was a testament to their hard work, resilience, team spirit, and exceptional talent. “You displayed courage, discipline, and determination throughout the competition, and we are proud of the fighting spirit you exhibited on the pitch,” George said.
George added that the team had inspired many young girls and football lovers across the state and nation, proving once again that Nasarawa Amazons remains a dominant force in Nigerian women’s football. “You have made us proud, and we celebrate you!” he said.
SWAN encouraged the team not to dwell on the outcome but to draw strength from the experience and prepare for future competitions with even greater zeal. “You are our champions, and we celebrate you!” George emphasized.
