…As Match Day8 Games Of the Ibadan City Basketball League Holds Today
Nigeria Customs, Nigeria Army and Plateau Rocks are smiling from ear to ear after Match Day 2 games were concluded in the NBBF Women’s Basketball League Qualifiers, Savannah Conference in Kaduna on Saturday.
Nigeria Customs continued from where they stopped on game one by recorded another big win on Match Day 2 as they humiliated Nasarawa Amazon by 90 to 51 points, a 39 points winning margin. In Customs’ first outing, the border Women arrested Air Warriors 73 to 47 points.
Air Warriors were brought down to earth again by the Rocks from the Plateau 66 to 48 points in their second consecutive defeat. The win is the second for the Rocks that had gave the Nigeria Army Ladies a bitter pile to swallow 36 to 30 points on Match Day 1.
Nigeria Army bounced back from Match Day 1 defeat to ambushed winless Kada Angels of Kaduna 53 to 43 points. Kada Angels lost their opening fixture to Nasarawa Amazon 37 to 29 points.
After two rounds of games, Nigeria Customs Women are leading the log with four points, Plateau Rocks are on four too, Nigeria Army and Nasarawa Amazon are having three points each while winless Kada Angels and Air Warriors are on two points each.
Today (Sunday), three games will be decided as part of Match Day 3 pairings.
In the first game of Match Day 3, Air Warriors takes on Kada Angels in the clash of similar identity of winless run.
After that encounter, another identical twins will step on the court again, this time around, it’s Nigeria Army with one win and a defeat against Nasarawa Amazon with a victory and a lost in two games.
The story of similar identity will be rapped up when Nigeria Customs battle with Plateau Rocks. Both teams have recorded two wins each.
Meanwhile, three games will be played today in the Ibadan City Basketball League. The Polytechnic Ibadan meets Adamasingba Spartans in the first game of the day.
