All is set for the third Menstrual Kit Distribution programme of OIFN in Lagos, Nigeria in collaboration with Yere Ovia of Days For Girls.
According to the organisers OIFN, all arrangements have been concluded for the event schedule to hold on Monday, 24th April, 2023 at Jakande Estate Oke-Afa, Ejigbo, Lagos.
Tarela Aghanti, founder of OIFN (Osteogenesis Imperfecta Foundation, Nigeria) says the theme for the event is ‘Hygeine In Mesturation: My Thing’. That the whole idea is to educate young girls about hygeine as it relates to their menstral circle and provide them with the kits to navigate the circle.
Aghanti says, the need to provide such interventions can’t be overemphasised going by the poverty situation in under developed countries, where the average school age girl can’t afford mentrual kits and the issues of culture and tradition.
Activities of the day would include the distribution of 100 DfG kits donated by Alachua FL Team, as well as Menstrual Education supported by Ambassador of Women’s Health.
The event is slated for 11AM prompt.
