Nasarawa United has topped the Match-Day 14 Team-Of-The-Week list in the 2025/26 Nigeria Premier Football League season, with three players and their coach making the prestigious list.
Deadly attacker Anas Yusuf, who scored a brace in Nasarawa United’s 3-0 thrashing of El-Kanemi Warriors, leads the pack, having taken his goal tally to six goals in the season. Centre Back Utake Emmanuel also made the list for his solid defensive display, while Technical Adviser Mangut Mbwas was voted Coach of Match-Day 14.
Mbwas, who has been in excellent form since taking over as Nasarawa United coach, led the team to their biggest win of the season, and currently tops the NPFL table with 27 points from 14 games.
“Nasarawa United FC currently tops the NPFL table with 27 points from 14 games,” said Eche Amos, Director of Media, Nasarawa United FC. “Coach Mangut Mbwas has continued to prove many naysayers wrong, and we are proud of his achievements so far.”
The Solid Miners’ impressive form has been fueled by Mbwas’ tactical prowess, and the team looks set to challenge for the title this season.
