The Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN) has announced the composition of its new Media and Publicity Sub-Committee, which will drive the organization’s communication and media engagement strategies.
The committee is chaired by Maxwell Kumoye and includes several experienced members.
The members of the AFN Media and Publicity Sub-Committee are:
– Maxwell Kumoye – Chairman
– Ohis Asein – Member & Special Assistant to the President on Media
– Aaron Akeredolu – Member
– Abodurin Murakinyo – Member
– Uzor Odigbo – Member
– Ayegbusi Olabanji Segun – Member
– Kuti Dare – Official Photographer
The committee’s mission is to enhance AFN’s visibility, manage public communications, and ensure Nigerian athletics receives the media coverage it deserves on national and international platforms.
The team’s objectives include improving media relations, enhancing publicity for athletes and events, better storytelling of Nigerian athletics achievements, and strengthening the organization’s digital presence.
AFN Secretary General, Israel Inwang, congratulated the new committee members, saying, “Together, we will amplify the voice of Nigerian athletics!” Inwang expressed optimism about the committee’s ability to promote Nigerian athletics and enhance the organization’s reputation.
The AFN’s new Media and Publicity Sub-Committee is expected to play a crucial role in promoting the organization’s activities and achievements, both locally and internationally.
