…As NDLEA Arrests 2 Young Ladies With Over 108KG Skunk, Loud, Colorado, Meth In Edo

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has intercepted several illicit drug consignments in different parts of the country. At the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) in Lagos, operatives seized 62.20kg of Loud, a strong strain of cannabis, concealed in wraps of green tea from Thailand via the UAE.

The consignment, weighing 62.20kg, was discovered on May 11, 2025, and was watch-listed by the NDLEA for over three weeks before a joint examination was conducted. In a separate operation in Lagos, NDLEA operatives intercepted 1,665kg of skunk, a strain of cannabis, along the Lekki-Ajah expressway, arresting two suspects: Gidado Abdulrasaq Ayinde and Obanla Oluwafemi.

In Edo State, two young ladies, Favour Joy and Joy Igwe, were arrested with over 108kg of skunk, Loud, Colorado, and methamphetamine. In Kaduna, a 29-year-old man, Goodluck Nnaemeka, was arrested with 612 bottles of codeine-based syrup and 2,970 pills of flunitrazepam, while a 52-year-old wanted drug dealer, Kabiru Musa, was arrested with 25.7kg of skunk.

NDLEA Chairman/Chief Executive Officer, Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (Rtd), commended the officers and men of the agency for their efforts in pursuing a fair balance between drug supply reduction and drug demand reduction.
