Serena Williams shows off her flexibility on the cover of the August issue of New York Magazine, pulling off an amazing split.
The world number one women’s tennis player stunned in the series of fierce and provocative shots taken by Norman Jean Roy.
Williams is on course to create history at the upcoming U.S. Open next month. If she can scoop the top prize, it will make her a winner of all four of the major grand slams this year-she has won the French Open, Australian Open and The Wimbledon.
That achievement will seal her legendary status as one of the greatest athlete of her generation. Serena though did not expect to have such a long career.
‘one of the most sustained careers of excellence in the history of athletics,’ the 33-year-old said in an interview with the magazine.
‘I didn’t think it would last this long. Even if it was over, it’s a really long career’.
