The Women Leadership Development Forum and Retreat in Doha, Qatar, concluded on January 30, 2025, after a successful five-day program. The forum brought together women leaders from various sectors and regions, aiming to strengthen leadership, economic empowerment, and capacity building. Dr Elizabeth Egbetokun, President of the Police Officers’ Wives Association (POWA), led the Nigerian delegation, which included prominent women leaders from various organizations.
The event featured strategic discussions, leadership training, and networking sessions designed to equip women in leadership with skills and knowledge to drive positive change.
A highlight of the retreat was the recognition of Dr Egbetokun with the Women Leadership Award, acknowledging her dedication to advancing women’s leadership and empowerment.

The retreat was attended by notable guests, including His Excellency Hommoudi Al-Sheikh, Ambassador of the Central African Republic to Qatar, and Mrs Bilkisu Rufai, Head of Mission, Nigerian Embassy in Qatar.
