Nigerian International Osaze Peter Odemwingie will not be available for selection for his club Stoke City as the new season gradually builds up, as a result of a hamstring injury he picked up in training.
This development was made public by the club’s manager Mark Hughes who spoke at a pre-match press conference before the away game against Tottenham Hotspurs at the White Hart Lane. Odemwingie who played the last ten minutes of the opening fixture against Liverpool, with his side losing 1-0, is been reported to likely be out of action for up to 4 weeks as revealed by his manager.
“Unfortunately Peter has got a hamstring strain and is likely to miss the next couple of weeks, it’s disappointing for him because he has worked tremendously hard throughout pre-season,” Mark Hughes said.
