Nasarawa State Governor, His Excellency, Engr. Abdullahi Sule, received representatives of Nasarawa United’s players and officials at the Government House, Lafia, on Wednesday.
Joined by the Deputy Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Agbadu Akabe, alongside Secretary to the State Government, Barr. Muhammad Aliyu-Ubandoma and Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the State, Dr. Aliyu Bello, the Governor appreciated the delegation for ensuring the promotion of Nasarawa United to the 2024/25 Nigeria Premier League Season and for bringing pride and honour to the State and her people, urging them to sustain the tempo in the top-flight and be inspired by the relentless supports of his administration by striving for excellence.
The visit was in appreciation for the supports the team and its members constantly get from the Governor and his administration, with an assurance to replicate the benevolence in the top-flight.
The visiting team comprised the Chairman, Nasarawa United FC, Dr. Othman Ibrahim Ahmed, who represented the Management Committee, Technical Adviser, Usman Adams, who represented the Technical Crew, Captain King Osanga and his assistant, Manga Mohammed, Goalkeeper Ameh Godwin, and midfielder, Musa Musa, representing the players.
Other members of the Solid Miners in attendance included Media Officer, Eche Amos representing the Backroom Staff, Chairman and Public Relations Officer of the Supporters’ Club, Jibrin Ali ‘Baggio’ and Usman Saleh Turaki.
Chairman, Nasarawa State Football Association, Salisu Galadima ‘Basira’ stood on behalf of the Board of Nasarawa State Football Association.
Permanent Secretary, Nasarawa State Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, Chief Barr. Isaac Danladi, led the team to the Governor on behalf of the Ministry’s Commissioner, Hon. Jafaru Ango.
