Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has expressed his heartfelt congratulations and deepest gratitude to Nasarawa United’s outstanding performance and achievements at the just-concluded 2023/24 Nigeria National League Super Eight Play-offs tournament held in Enugu State from 7th to 13th June, 2024, that saw the team gaining promotion back to the Nigeria Premier Football League next Season.

The Governor who is an ardent follower of the Club’s activities stated this in the WhatsApp platform of Nasarawa United after the Solid Miners’ 3-4 penalty shootout loss to Beyond Limits Football Academy on Thursday evening after regulation time had ended 2-2 apiece.

According to him, “Congratulations, the hottest boys in the League of the best. You(Nasarawa United) remain my Champions.

“Thank you for the marvelous outing. You made us all proud and there’s no ambiguity nor grammar about that; the most important thing is we are back to the Premier League and we are grateful to the Almighty God, our team, and fans. Up Nasarawa United!!!!!!!

“We await to give you a hero’s welcome.”

The Governor equally congratulated the Club’s Technical Adviser, Usman Adams, Management headed by Dr. Othman Ahmed Ibrahim, entire members of the team, and Supporters for their dedication, hard work and teamwork which brought pride and honour to the State.

“Congratulations for a well-deserved recognition, my dear brother, Coach Usman Adams, for scooping the BEST COACH of the Super Eight competition, and congratulations to the team, Management and our super Supporters.”

Engr Sule further congratulated the latest Champions of the 2023/24 NNL Campaign, Beyond Limits FA, for putting up an excellent performance throughout the one week-long tournament.

“Congratulations, Beyond Limits for what you have been able to achieve at the tournament.”

Nasarawa State’s Deputy Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Agbadu Akabe, who represented the Governor, had led a handful of the State’s delegation to the Super Eight grand finale as they were received on ground by the duo of the Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Hon. Jafaru Ango, and Permanent Secretary, Chief Barr. Isaac Danladi at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu.

President of the Nigerian Football Federation, Alh. Ibrahim Musa Gusau, alongside other top football stakeholders were hosted to an entertaining finale by the George Aluo-led Board of the NNL.

Nasarawa United will participate in next season’s Nigeria Premier Football League, one season after they were relegated to the lower division.
