In a bid to reinforce their commitment to eliminating Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) in Nigeria, MITOSATH recently hosted Kimberly Kamara, Associate Vice President, and Moses Aderogba, Senior Associate, Program, from The END Fund on a courtesy visit to their HQ-Extension Office in Lagos.
The visit, which took place recently provided an opportunity for strategic discussions between MITOSATH and The END Fund, aimed at enhancing program impact, strengthening partnerships, and improving community health interventions.
According to Dr. Francisca Olamiju, Executive Director of MITOSATH, “Their visit was a testament to our shared commitment to eliminating NTDs in Nigeria. We explored ways to enhance our collaboration, leverage each other’s strengths, and drive sustainable solutions in the fight against Onchocerciasis, Lymphatic Filariasis, Schistosomiasis, Soil-Transmitted Helminths, and Trachoma.”
Dr. Olamiju emphasized that MITOSATH remains dedicated to collaborative action, innovation, and sustainable solutions in the fight against NTDs. She highlighted the instrumental role of The END Fund’s partnership in advancing MITOSATH’s NTD efforts.
Noting that:”The support from The END Fund continues to be instrumental in scaling up our efforts and reaching more underserved communities.”
The courtesy visit was seen as a significant step towards strengthening the partnership between MITOSATH and The END Fund, with both organizations reaffirming their commitment to eliminating NTDs in Nigeria.
As Dr. Olamiju concluded, “We appreciate Kimberly Kamara and Moses Aderogba for their visit and unwavering support in advancing NTD elimination goals. Together, we are making a difference—one step at a time.”
