Abia Warriors’s mid-season signing Michael Ibe has been included in the squad for the Match-Day 26 clash against Heartland this Sunday afternoon.
The 26-year-old midfielder joined Umuhaia-based side Abia Warriors early April from FK Mash’al Mubarek after his contract ended with the Uzbekistan club.
The former Aiteo Cup winner had to wait this long due to the late arrival of his license but has been training with the team since his arrival and was part of the final training session ahead of Sunday’s “Oriental Derby”.

With 10 goals and 6 assists in one-and-a-half season with FK Mash’al Mubarek, Ibe will hope to bring his wealth of experience in midfield and add goals to Imama Amapakabo’s side.
Ibe will wear the jersey number 4 at the club.
Abia Warriors are currently 16th on the table with 27 points and will be hoping to get back to winning ways after narrowly losing 2-1 against Katsina United.
The match against Heartland is billed for the Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri by 4pm today.
