The Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC) has presented a Certificate of Return to Olasoju Adebayo of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the winner of the chairmanship election in Isolo Local Council Development Area (LCDA).
Olasoju and his running mate, Hon. Shakir Sadiq Adeola, received their certificates alongside 56 other chairmen-elect and vice-chairmen-elect across the state. The certificate presentation ceremony took place on Wednesday, July 16, 2025.
Olasoju secured his victory with 22,331 votes, defeating his closest rivals, Isiaq Shonubi of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and Salako Fasasi of the Labour Party (LP). The APC also swept all seven councillorship seats in the local government area.
The councillors-elect are expected to receive their certificates of return from LASIEC as the process is still ongoing.
