The 27th edition of the Jakande Estate Okeafa Carnival Cup, one of Lagos State’s longest-running grassroots football championships, will culminate in a Grand Finale on Friday, December 26, 2025, at the MKO Abiola Mini Stadium, Jakande Estate Okeafa, Ejigbo LCDA.
The Carnival Cup, founded in 1999, celebrates community cohesion, youth engagement, sports development, and cultural identity within Oshodi-Isolo and beyond. The 2025 edition kicked off on November 30, with competitive fixtures attracting large community participation.
The Final will feature a highly anticipated clash between Peace Center FC and Valley Coast FC, two of the tournament’s most competitive and culturally rooted teams. The championship is powered by Lion King Promotions, in partnership with the Jakande Estate Okeafa Carnival Cup Committee, and enjoys the support of community leaders, diaspora stakeholders, and corporate partners.
Agric & Culture Company Nigeria Ltd, makers of Uto and Daalu Mayonnaise, is the Official Brand Partner, providing branded jerseys for finalists and supporting logistics as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) commitment to grassroots sports.
The Grand Finale will also feature a Carnival Cup Legends Exhibition Match at 8:30am, followed by the Championship Final Match at 10:30am, Trophy, Medals & Awards Presentation, and a Community After-Party & Cultural Celebration.
Several dignitaries are expected to attend, including Members of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Local Government leadership, Representatives of sports, culture, and tourism institutions, Community elders, professionals, and diaspora stakeholders.
According to the organisers, the decision to stage the Final on December 26 holds deep symbolic meaning, honouring the roots of the competition and reinforcing its place in the heart of the Jakande Estate community. “The Carnival Cup is more than football; it is heritage, structure, leadership, and hope for our youths,” the organisers noted.
