17 year-old Kabirat Ayoola a table tennis player from Oyo state has won a gold medal at the just concluded ITTF West Africa Regional Championship held in Lome, Togo.
Speaking at the Lekan Salami Sports Complex in Adamasingba, Ibadan Sports Commissioner, Honourable Wasilat Adegoke, disclosed that the gold medalist has won a lot of medals for Oyo State at Cadet junior and senior categories in the past.

According to the press statement signed by Tunde Ajibike, Director Media & Communications, Honorable Adegoke revealed that Kabirat Ayoola, lost her single event at the quarter final to a Ghanaian opponent 3 – 2, but was part of Team Nigeria that eventually won Gold at the competition.
The Commissioner further remarked that Oyo State is proud of theTable Tennis Team (both men and women) that represented Nigeria at the just concluded ITTF Championship, for their outstanding and laudable performance in which they won three (3) gold and two (2) silver medals.
