Glory Ogbonna has signed a one-year contract extension with Turkish club Besiktas.
The versatile defender new deal will run until 2024.
Ogbonna was the subject of interest from French club AS Saint-Étienne for the past one week before Besiktas manager, Suat Okyar confirmed she remained part of his plans.
“I’m just really happy,” said Ogbonna.
“With the quarter final finish of last season, I want to help my team win the title this time.”
The Super Falcons defender, who joined Besiktas from ALG Spor early 2023, led the team to a quarter final finish in the Super Lig Women playoffs.
