Chief Rasheedat Oladega, the Iyalode of Odoragushin, in Epe Division, said on Sunday that for nearly a decade, the people of Odoragunshi have waited in frustration for the rightful installation of their chosen king, Prince Adetomiwa Odutuga.

This prolonged delay has created a leadership vacuum, stalling the community’s progress and unity.

The people have spoken clearly: Prince Adetomiwa Odutuga is the rightful heir to the throne. It is time for the Lagos State Government, led by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, to resolve this impasse and uphold the will of the people. The Odoragunshi throne is not for sale, nor should it be subject to external manipulation or political interference. Tradition must be honored!

Chief Mufutau Adebajo-Egbo, in Odoragushin, said that one of the major roadblocks to Prince Odutuga’s installation is the alleged interference of Mrs. Doja Otedola. While she is a respected member of the community, she is not a kingmaker and should not have the authority to influence the succession process. The people of Odoragunshi reject any form of imposition, the rightful heir has been chosen, and justice must prevail.

With the community’s chiefs, youth, and elders standing in unity, their demand is clear: No more delays! No more legal battles! Odoragunshi needs its king now! The absence of leadership has plunged the town into uncertainty, and the time for decisive action is long overdue.

Also, Chief Giwa Adekunle, the Oloritun Eyindi, urged Governor Sanwo-Olu and the Lagos State Government to listen to the people. Install Prince Adetomiwa Odutuga without further delay and restore order, tradition, and progress to Odoragunshi. The throne must be occupied and it must be by the rightful king.

Earlier, Olori Odo Hammed Odutayo, appeals to authority in power to head to community plea by installing the King the ancient neighborhood crave for.

“We know what we need in the community and we know the person that can do it for us, therefore, the community candidate Adetomiwa should be installed as the community Monarch.

“The community will reject any other monarch apart from Adetomiwa, because he is a grassroots man and heis accessible to all at home and Sundry, ” he said.
