Enugu Rangers on Sunday, 4th December 2022 stormed Lagos for the maiden edition of Dozy Mmobuosi Foundation-NPFL Pre-season Tournament. The pre-season tournament involves four of the traditional clubs of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) that will compete for an unprecedented winner takes all ₦100m prize money at stake.
The tournament Packaged by Tingo Media in collaboration with NPFL, the invitational tournament, sponsored by Dozy Mmobuosi Foundation, will feature two former African Cup winners, Enugu Rangers International Football Club of Enugu and Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan, former African Champions League winners, Enyimba International Football Club of Aba and Bendel Insurance of Benin.

The tournament is billed to hold from December 6-9 at the Mobolaji Sports Complex in Lagos and the Ikenne Township Stadium, Ikenne, Ogun State.
Addressing the Players, Technical crew and backroom Staff before leaving Enugu, the Administrative Secretary of Rangers Management Cooperation, Ferdinand Ugwuerua charged the team to be of good conduct, fly the Rangers colour and come home with the contentious trophy.
Coach Abdu Maikaba, Rangers Technical Adviser, promised “that with unity in the team and cooperation of all, the club with smile back to Enugu with the cup”.
