The Chairman of the Lagos State Football Association Barrister Seyi Akinwunmi on Thursday during the presentation of the maiden edition of the Ekofootball Queens Tourney reiterated the resolve of the Lagos Football Association to sustain and raise the bar for a qualitative women football in Lagos State.

The Chairman who is also the 1st vice president of the Nigeria Football Federation frowns at the organisers of illegal women football tournaments in the state.
” These young girls have been intimidated in the time past.
We at the Football Association will not allow that to continue. They will not be recognized by the NFF.
The system of Football is like a family and we are determined to remain a United family “.
The Ekofootball Queens tournament is the first of it’s kind in Lagos with 24 Amateur teams slugging it out for a period of two weeks at the legacy pitch and Soccer Temple Agege from the 2nd of June 2021.
